The history of the Grand Hotel Quisisana is intertwined with that of Capri, becoming a witness to a golden age that saw the island transform itself into a destination coveted by artists, men of letters, royalty, heads of state and prominent figures.
The summit has the participation of foreign ministers from Italy, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union, who discussed joint initiatives to promote a free, safe and prosperous world.
The G7 aimed to strengthen the bond between the states that are part of the EU, but not only, in order to defend market economies and democratic values and freedom.
The ministers also had the opportunity to discuss the response to Russian aggression in Ukraine. For this reason, Minister Tajani invited Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to Capri.
In keeping with the government's strong focus on Africa, a session was organized in which Mauritania's Foreign Minister, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, also participated in his capacity as chairman of the African Union. This part focused mainly on strengthening the partnership between the G7 and the African continent.
